Jamie Lyons, of counsel with the Firm, is a veteran community association attorney. In addition to working with Boards of Directors and community association managers, Jamie advises developers and builders, real estate brokers and agents, and buyers and sellers in residential and commercial settings. During her career Jamie has practiced in the litigation and collection fields as well, giving her an unusual breadth and depth of legal experience that brings value to her clients.

Licensed in 1994 as an instructor of the Georgia Real Estate Commission, Jamie has taught the Community Association Management pre-licensing course since its inception in 1996 and has received awards for her excellent programs. Jamie also regularly teaches for the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® about timely topics in the real estate industry.

She co-authored the leading industry publication, The Reference Manual on Community Associations in Georgia, and has written numerous articles for industry publications. Jamie is a past Board Member of the Community Associations Institute of Georgia and is honored to be one of five Georgia attorneys admitted to the industry’s prestigious College of Community Association Lawyers.

Jamie and her husband, Jonathan, reside in East Cobb with their two children. She is actively involved in Congregation Etz Chaim as a member of the Board of Trustees, a religious school instructor, and former Chairperson of the Board of Education.

She is a past president of the Cornell Alumni Association of Atlanta and served for over 10 years as the Scholarship and Fundraising Chair of its Board of Directors. She is on the national Cornell Tower Club Committee and is serving her second term as a member of the prestigious Cornell University Council by appointment of the Board of Trustees.
